Responsible Gambling
FunPlayNZ.com provides gameplay features that can feel similar to gambling (e.g., spending, chance-based outcomes, rewards). Use our tools and the NZ support services below if play stops being fun.
Stay in control
- Set a budget and time limit before you start, and stop when you reach it.
- Don’t chase losses or spend more to “win back” what you’ve used.
- Avoid playing when upset, stressed, or under the influence of alcohol/drugs.
- Keep play separate from money needed for bills, food, rent, or savings.
Common warning signs
- Spending more time/money than planned.
- Hiding play from others or feeling guilt.
- Borrowing or selling things to keep playing.
- Play affecting sleep, work, study, or relationships.
On-site tools
You can manage your play in Account → Responsible Play (or similar settings):
- Time limits (daily/weekly).
- Spend limits (coin/top-up caps).
- Breaks (cool-off periods).
If you can’t find these settings, contact support and request help applying limits.
Self-exclusion / account lock
If you need a longer stop, you can request a lockout:
- Go to Account → Responsible Play → Self-exclusion/Lock (if available) and choose a duration.
- If the option isn’t available, email contact@funplaynz.com from your registered email requesting self-exclusion/lockout and the period you want.
- During a lock, access may be restricted and changes may not be reversible until the period ends.
